Brain Drain

Macroeconomics focuses on the structure and behavior of an entire economy. The well be of this economy is heavily determined by productivity and factors of production. enfeeble or conglomerate, my article from The Economist, focuses on the phenomena known as mentality spill and hand overs argument to refute this hypothesis. A so-called header drain, also known as serviceman capital flight, is the out-migration of individuals with knowledge and education from underdeveloped countries to those that are developed and provide rich opportunities for employment, wealth, and success. The reasoning behind mindset drain locomote back onto the primary factors of production: capital, education or human capital, natural resources, and technology. Other determinants of productivity include health, education, political stability, governmental restrictions, research and development, and population. Production, along with consumption, determines macroeconomic growth.
The majority of economists regard the brain drain as detrimental to an underdeveloped economy because it deprives them of much-needed deft workers who could have taught at their universities, worked in their hospitals and come up with quick-witted new products for their factories to make.



In my article, the author provides statistics and evidence that deters the brain drain theory. For instance, migrants repay their signlands through remittance, which is the transfer of currency by a foreign worker back to his or her home country. In least developed countries such as Lebanon and Tajikistan, remittances make up for more than 20% of their Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Furthermore, the intermediate emigrant earns a significantly higher amount of money than he or she would have made in their endemic land. My article argues that emigrants transfer enough money back to their home land over their working lives to cover the amount pass on educating them several times over.
