Coursework introduction I am trying to find out how the carriage of two wards in Gosport reflects the differences predicted by urban grease utilisation models and the difference in the social and economic characteristics of the two wards. The antecedent I am studying Gosport is beca aim it is where I live so it is a good area to base my coursework on because it as accessible to me. This topic is good to research because with the recent break of the worlds economy it is important to look at different areas in our town and how economy affects the different areas. I will be investigating: Housing types The environment The earthly concern use Traffic levels Social and economic characteristics of the residents Gosport is on the conspiracy coast of Eng belt down and is west of the marine city of Portsmouth and is on a peninsula. It is on the county of Hampshire and is one of Britains biggest towns without a railway transport and the population is 79,200(approx). Gosport is a naval town with two naval basses situated here and is also used for tourism and its seaside location makes it an attractive place to be. The two wards I am studying are Town and Alverstoke. Town is the CBD (see Burgess framework for explanation) of Gosport.

The reputation of the environmental timberland of the area is very poor. The houses in town are mostly compact and linear because the land value is higher because it is in the CBD. Alverstoke is in the suburbs of Gosport and as the land value in the suburbs is less, bigger, more modern buildings can be made at less expense than Town. The environmental quality of Alverstoke is a lot higher than town and the area is largely better looked after.
