Part 1 My setting I am an Ofsted registered childminder in a medium sized town in the S come forwardh due east of England. My setting presently provides day and overnight compassionate Tuesdays to Saturdays, 47 weeks per year. I accept children from birth to 12 years and currently befuddle 6 children on utilization timed from 2 10, 3 of which are in the early years age group. I am also registered as a nanny and can spend part of my day working from families floors. The children I am currently working with are from professional families. The volume of our day is spent within the community outside the home setting, we are within walking distance of the town centre, woods, ballpark and local amenities which all form part of our reading resources. I work alone at home, however I meet up with other local Childminders and Nannies at our idiosyncratic settings, Childminder groups and Toddler groups. We also meet up socially out of hours where we swap ideas, discuss best practice and support each other. The setting ethos is a home from home environment that mirrors family life, a mix of age groups where siblings can be looked after in concert and singletons have the benefit of a larger family environment, children can be as active as they please or as snuggle up on the sofa just as they would at home.

I have been fortunate to maintain seniority with the families where we have all benefited from long term relationships. One family have been with me since registration in 2005. The curriculum I follow is ground on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which as a registered Childminder I am required to follow.
