Introduction
In this essay I am going to bring on the reader to the Our World. Your Move. campaigning of
the bolshie Cross Movement (Movement). cross the 150th anniversary of the organisation, the 60th
anniversary of the Geneva Conventions and the 90th anniversary of the forerunner of the
International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) this global
communications campaign was launched in 2008 and continued with activities carried go forth in 2009.
The formal international coordination and monitoring ended in November 2009. However, in a form
of a large community blog, as it had been planned, the mission carried on on a self-organising basis.
I am going to introduce the vision, mission and strategy of the programmes first form along with the
difficulties I had to face as a loss leader. Choosing an provide leadership style to the different
situations was the most gainsay part of managing this campaign in the Europe and Central Asia
geographical zone (Zone). Another challenging aspect was to create and manage an effective communication
within the Zone and among National Societies (NS).

As a communications officer for the Zone I was responsible for(p) for managing the team of these
countries representatives.



The programmes aim was to mobilize, in a coordinated way, the IFRC,
the NS and the ICRC. By the end of the first variant, within a common simulation the IFRC, NS and
the ICRC would be able to develop their campaigns and to focus on their single priorities. My
job was initially to establish a common disposition and understanding about the importance of raising
awareness of humanitarian statesmanship and advocacy in NS. In the second phase I had to lead,
motivate and support the representatives and promote that they use the visual tools of the project. In
this phase my role shifted a bit and I temporarily became the leader of the individual NS team.
