Once the performance was complete, Vsevolozhsky, Tchaikovsky and choreographer, Marius Pepita, met up nearly time in 1888 to collaborate their ideas on the ballets production. Tchaikovsky completed the composition of his music towards the middle of 1889 which gave Pepita time to broadcast his choreography.

Pepita finished the choreography in September and four months subsequently the ballet was ready to be performed in front of an audience.
