In other words, I thought it would be a slightly cool place to visit. My mom told my brother and me that we were going to drop up for the Fourth of July and spend the week with family and friends and watch the fireworks in the big city. I was looking forward to it, but I wasnt as excited as I thought I would be due to what Ive already seen on TV.
The flight was long and filled with a weeks worth of readying from seven different classes. I stayed occupied for the two and a half hour flight. We were flying over the city and it literally looked like a concrete jungle.
Amazed at the site, I pulled into the JFK airport not mentally prepared for what is in store for me.
We snag a taxi and drive finished the city and see pure pandemonium. You could just smell the smogginess in the air along with the ethnic food stands and the not so many hot dog stands. One could olfactory perception the heat being reflected on to their skin from the skyscrapers and just fancy music and police sirens in what seemed like every direction. I have never seen so many amazing things in on place before.
